Web Design Europe · Website Modernization · Ongoing Support

Modernize your website. Present yourself more clearly.

I help small businesses, practices, and service providers all over Europe bring their existing websites up to date: better structured, easier to use on mobile, and more professional in appearance.

Less yesterday's website. More inquiries tomorrow.

Three possible scopes – from a standalone website project to ongoing support afterward.

01

Website Development

Modernizing or rebuilding a clear, responsive website with clean structure, cohesive design, and solid mobile display.

02

Website Development & Launch

Beyond the build, I also support the launch: technical publishing, basic functional testing, and a clean handover.

03

Support, Maintenance & Ongoing Development

Optional ongoing support after launch: I take care of minor changes, technical upkeep, and quick help whenever something isn't working right.

A website isn't a one-time project. Technology, devices, browsers, and requirements keep changing. That's why ongoing support can make sense – even if your content itself rarely changes.

  • Clear structure
  • Mobile display
  • Load time
  • SEO optimization
  • Modern design

A modernization has to make what already exists more usable.

Understand the starting point

Which content matters? What feels outdated? Where do visitors struggle to find what they're looking for quickly enough?

Improve the structure

Text, page sections, contact options, and mobile display are organized so the website becomes easier to grasp at a glance.

Update the design

The look becomes visually calmer, more contemporary, and more professional – matched to the business and its audience.

Dr. Jonas Heimicke

About me

Websites that feel easy to understand.

I'm Dr. Jonas Heimicke, and I help small businesses, practices, and service providers modernize their existing websites. My goal isn't to pack a page with as much effect as possible, but to organize content cleanly, build trust, and make the next step easy for visitors.

My background is technical and analytical. That's exactly why, when I look at a website, I don't just look at colors and images, but at structure, user guidance, mobile display, and whether the business comes across online as professionally as it actually operates.

Quick profile Technical background, an eye for structure and execution – pragmatic, direct, and without agency overhead.
Philosophy A good website doesn't need to be louder. It needs to be clearer: understandable, modern, usable on mobile, and true to the business.

A clear process – with your goal at the center.

The process stays deliberately lean: first, we understand what your website needs to achieve. Then a fitting direction is developed and carried out cleanly, step by step.

Clarify goal & starting point

What should the website achieve? Which content matters? Where does friction exist today?

Develop a direction

A concrete draft shows early on how the new site could look and feel – before everything is finally built.

Structure the content

Existing information is organized, prioritized, and structured to be easier for visitors to understand.

Build the website

The agreed-on design is built responsively, tested, and published on request.

Ongoing support (optional)

For later changes: adding holiday closures, including new services, or updating content on short notice.

Ready to make your website more modern?

I'm happy to take a look at your current site and give you an initial assessment of what modernization would make sense.

Frequently Asked Questions. Answered Briefly.

How long does it take until my website goes live?

That depends on the scope and how quickly content is available. If all texts and images are ready and feedback on drafts comes back promptly, a website can realistically go live within 3 to 7 days.

What does a website cost?

The price is calculated individually based on the scope you want and the resulting effort – a flat number wouldn't do that justice. I always keep costs transparent: before the project starts, you'll get a clearly broken-down quote with several options, so you can choose the one that fits you best.

Do you offer special terms for founders and startups?

Yes, gladly. If you've just started your own business, I regularly offer a founder package: a low sum for the initial website build, combined with at least six months of website maintenance included. That keeps the entry cost manageable, and your website is well looked after technically right from the start.

Do you also support the website after launch?

Yes. On request, I take care of ongoing maintenance, minor changes, regular updates, and adding new content – so the website stays current and functional afterward too.

Do you also handle SEO and AI-SEO?

Yes. Classic SEO makes sure your website is easy to find on Google & co. – through clean structure, load time, and meta information, for example. AI-SEO adds the technical groundwork so your content can also be reliably picked up by AI-powered search summaries.

Is fully remote collaboration possible?

Yes, I work entirely remotely as a rule. Coordination happens by email, phone, or video call – an on-site appointment isn't necessary.

Do you use AI in the implementation?

Yes, selectively: AI helps me make early drafts visible faster, so we can jointly evaluate sooner whether a direction works. I alone make all conception, structural, and content decisions – AI is used only for implementation, never for conception. Copy always comes from you or is approved by you – no AI filler text. I don't use AI-generated images without labeling them. This keeps me compliant with the labeling requirements of the AI Act – you benefit from the speed without compromising on transparency or quality.

I barely get any inquiries through my website – why is that?

There's rarely just one reason – structure, content, load time, and technical discoverability often play together. What I can reliably deliver: the technical groundwork so your website gets found for relevant searches – including AI-powered search. I'm happy to take a look at your site and tell you specifically where I see potential.
